Our Story

The Journey to Now

Fifteen years of friendship, tenderness, family, faith, and a love that kept growing.

How We Met

2011

How We Met

Late summer, 2011. Mary was reserved; Arinze was curious. They started working together, and though Mary kept quietly to herself, Arinze gently, persistently drew her out. Over months of small conversations and easy laughter, an unlikely friendship began to bloom — one that neither of them knew would change everything.

Little Gestures, Quiet Promises

The Beginning

Little Gestures, Quiet Promises

Even then, affection hid in ordinary moments. Arinze offered to drop Mary off at home after long shifts so she could save for her own car. From his biweekly paycheck, he'd bring her small, thoughtful gifts, always wrapped in his steady words of reassurance: “Things will get better one day.” One morning, leaving work, he saw Mary caring for her patients in the courtyard, paused, smiled, and softly told himself, “I will marry you one day.”

From Friendship to Forever

Six Months Later

From Friendship to Forever

Six months later, they began dating. Mary moved into her own apartment, their love deepened, and soon they discovered they were expecting their first child. Arinze, with his family, fulfilled every traditional rite, honouring Mary and her family in full. They moved in together, two lives braiding into one, and would later welcome two more beautiful children into the world.

Still Becoming

15 Years of Us

Still Becoming

The last fifteen years have been their greatest adventure, filled with laughter that fills rooms, travel whenever the chance calls, a home they built together, and a business they run side by side. They've grown up together, grown through everything together, and the story still doesn't feel complete. Now they're stepping into the chapter they've been dreaming of, hand in hand, as husband and wife.
